This evening when I was getting the kids ready for bed, my son mentioned that his tooth injure. I start thought possibly it was a loose tooth, but when I checked, I instead found that his correct adult tooth on the bottom front has come in and the left is trying to intermission through. The strange affair is that his baby teeth are not even loose. Has anyone else dealt with this? What was the consequence?

give thanks you lot for your advice anybody! I called the dentist and they said it was normal and they don't even want to see him right now. They told my to just await until his six month check upwardly in june.

Yes. My son went through the same affair. I called the dentist and they said that is very normal. (Her son fifty-fifty had that happen!) He finally lost the infant teeth after both of his lesser front adult teeth were in completely. As soon equally he lost the baby teeth the adult teeth just moved forward into identify merely like the dentist office said they would. His teeth are now really directly. Lots of people told me that he would have to have them pulled, simply the dentist didn't fifty-fifty ask to see him. And, he idea it was so cool looking like sharkboy.

I just took my 5 y/o girl to the dentist for this same reason concluding week. She had her 2 bottom teeth pulled out because they weren't even loose still and her ii adult teeth (on the bottom) were already almost in. The dentist said that she could have gone another month or and so earlier she would've extracted them, merely in instance they would've loosened upward on their ain, but I didn't want to take to have my daughter back into the dentist.

This is perfectly normal. My oldest daughter had the same thing happen with her lower key incisors and equally a dental assistant I saw several children come in with this. Usually permanent teeth come up up underneath baby teeth and erode the root, causing them to eventually fall out. Merely if the permanent tooth comes in in a slightly different location that root erosion doesn't happen and you become two rows of teeth. You can either allow nature take it'due south course and expect for the infant teeth to fall out on their own (which is what I did. Her baby teeth were getting loose anyway) or you can take him to the dentist and have them pulled. Some dentists would rather non practise this since it'due south not really necessary and anesthetizing a child can be problematic. You lot'll have to talk with your dentist, only don't exist alarmed. That was totally me as a kid! You'll want to have him to the dentist to have the baby molar pulled or his new teeth will be really crooked because they will come in effectually the molar and will end up being in the wrong place. I had that trouble all through childhood - most of my teeth would not loosen by themselves. Over the course of my childhood, I had 12 of my babe teeth pulled by the dentist for that very reason! This also happened to me as a kid. I had iii adult teeth come in before the baby teeth were set to become. I had to accept them pulled.

While having my teeth pulled wasn't fun, I was relieved not to have "double" teeth considering it looked so foreign.

I never had to have braces - my teeth are now totally normal.

Oh my aye--- my heart child told me solemnly ( when he was almost v '''' Mommy, my teeth are fatty!''' --- what he meant was that --- yup --- big teeth coming in backside the babe teeth--- ask a childrens' dentist if/when to arbitrate -- it's not that unusual --- ( oh, you will look back and treasure these years -- I promise)

The dentist told me this was normal, and information technology's exactly what I'thousand dealing with, with my 5 yr old! In his case, information technology is very painful, then they are going to pull the ii baby teeth out, and let the adult teeth come up in painlessly! If he isn't in any hurting, they don't recommend getting them pulled!! Information technology is very normal to have double row of teeth, and aye, they are called "shark's teeth" :)

four is young to be getting adult teeth, but not out-of-the question. I think this is pretty common. I tutor at our local school and one of my students has had 2 lower teeth growing in behind the baby teeth for much of the yr. Recently both of the babe teeth brutal out. I don't think a dentist is really necessary.

On a side note, my 6-year-sometime girl'southward dentist wanted to extract teeth so that her adult teeth could grow in straighter (she has a small-scale oral fissure). After a trip to the orthodontist and some careful thinking I said no to the extractions. Lo and behold the ones they wanted to extract came out on their own and haven't grown back nevertheless assuasive her other adult teeth some room to abound in. Her ain mouth did the work of the dentist!

My brother had something like that. The dentist had to pull his baby teeth, and then my blood brother had to push his developed teeth into place by putting pressure on them with a tongue depressor every twenty-four hours. This happend to a friends daughter.. and they took he to the dentist.. and they were going to pull the infant teeth. But her younger sis beat them to the punch. when the kids were playing in the bathroom tub the younger sister riped a launder cloth out of her sister mouth and loosend the baby teeth and they fell out.. I would taker him to the dentist.

this happened to my son. the pediadontist said to allow him have a frozen pop (to numb the jaw), and then wiggle each day...and they did eventually fall out. the get-go one brutal out at school...he didn't fifty-fifty know exactly when/where.

I have a 10 year old girl who has had four cases of this kind and her 12 twelvemonth old friend has had a half dozen. From these experiences, I have to say to get to a dentist, PRONTO to avoid serious issues. ONce, my daughters whole confront swelled up because the adult tooth was pushing a tight baby tooth so hard and that tooth was JAMMED, without even a hit of the root going away. EVery time we see a "jammed tooth" we go Josee to the dentist for an extraction. By having the baby teeth yanked right away, we are fugitive pain and the teeth coming in crooked. My daughter'southward friend had a whole agglomeration of teeth come in crooked and will probably accept to take braces but they are looking meliorate later the Dentist finally pulled the baby teeth from the double row of teeth that she had in her mouth.

two of my cousins had that and the baby teeth eventually autumn out, but the older cousin was chosen shark face or jaws or something similar that for awhile since he had ii rows of teeth! That happened to my son on his bottom front teeth. Sometimes the babe teeth practise get loose and fall out, merely my son had to have his pulled. He didn't notice it traumatic. Perhaps because he got tired of being called shark boy.

That happened to me! I had the 2 infant teeth pulled by the dentist. It was non traumatic at all. I even got a bang-up box to put the teeth in!

This same matter happen to my son near a yr ago and since he needed a cheque-upward anyhow I took him to the dentist. He was 6 when this happen and so it may exist a footling unlike in that reguard. The pediatric dentist recommended that I pull that tooth and the other three front teeth since when they x-rayed him his other front end teeth were shut to coming out and would probably exercise the same thing. She said he just has stubborn teeth. I was nervous but decided to go with the recommendation. I don't regret it but I do wonder if there was a meliorate mode. He was given a local and was awake, he did peachy and was treated like a hero after. They said all his teeth should testify up past Christmas (it was July). The tooth he already had immeditaly moved forward into place and so that was nice, but we are nevertheless waiting for the last tooth to come up in and information technology is almost a twelvemonth later. Maybe just pull the effected tooth. Skilful luck.
